사연

정확히 EDM에서 빅룸이 무엇을 뜻하는 지를, 그리고 뱅어(Banger)가 무엇을 뜻하는지를 찾아보다가, 하위문서를 보게 되었다.

그중에 일렉트로닉의 하위 장르중에 뭄바톤이라는게 있다는 걸 알게 되었다.

내가 좋아하는 장르의 일렉트로닉인데 정확히 그게 명칭이 어떻게 불리는지를 모르던 차라서 찾은게 신나서 글을 이렇게 또 포스팅해본다.

레게톤 스타일이 융합된 일렉트로 하우스이다. 보통 BPM이 110으로 일반적인 하우스음악의 템포보다 느리다.

간혹 일렉트로 하우스 말고도 BPM 110의 US 덥스텝이나 글리치 합과 합쳐질 때도 있다 (이럴 때는 뭄바코어라고 따로 부른다).
이런 실험적이고 생소한 장르를 Major Lazer, Dillon Francis, DJ Snake 등의 아티스트들이 꾸준히 개척해나가며 인지도를 올렸고,

마침내 2015년 초반 Major Lazer와 DJ Snake의 'Lean on'이 대히트를 치면서 뭄바톤이 대중적인 장르로 올라오게되었다.

2015년 후반 저스틴 비버의 대히트곡 'Sorry'도 뭄바톤이었다.

혹시 EDM이 생소한 한국인들에게 좋은 예를 들자면, 2016년 10월 초 공개된 방탄소년단의 '피 땀 눈물'도 뭄바톤이다.
